HERITAGE

The Charollais sheep breed was developed in France, and introduced into the UK in 1976.

They are now found throughout the UK.

SHEEP

The Charollais sheep breed is a medium sized sheep, with a muscular build. Their head has no fleece coverage, and they are prized for their prime lambs.

FLEECE

The Charollais breed has a lightweight, short length fleece.

Their fine fleece is used in knitwear yarns, apparel blends and in the Japanese futon market.
