HERITAGE

The Dorset Down sheep breed was developed in Southern England through the crossing of Berkshire, Hampshire and Wiltshire ewes with Southdown rams.

They are still found in the South West of England and in small flocks across the UK.

SHEEP

The Dorset Down sheep breed have distinctive faces and ears. They are an easy and adaptable breed, and the rams make good sires.

FLEECE

The Dorset Down sheep breed has a springy, dense fleece, with a good crimp that makes it popular for knitting yarns and bedding.
