HERITAGE

The halberd Welsh sheep breed was established in the 1900's , by crossing a Welsh breed ewe and a Border Leicester ram.

They are now predominantly found in Wales but also in small flocks across the UK.

SHEEP

The Halfbred Welsh sheep breed have a white to creamy fleece, which can contain a lot of kemp.

They have no hair on their face, ears or legs. They are a hornless breed.

FLEECE

They have a medium length wool, which sometimes contains kemp.

Their fleeces are now mainly used in carpet blends, however they are sometimes used in knitwear blends for cloth.
