HERITAGE

The Ile De France sheep breed was developed in France and were introduced into the UK in the 1970's.

They are found in small flocks across the UK.

SHEEP

The Ile De France sheep breed is a versatile large sheep. They are popular meat sheep but also have a short fleece.

FLEECE

The Ile de France sheep have a good heavy fleece, which is white to creamy in colour.

These qualities make  it popular in blends for hand knitting yarns and textiles.
