HERITAGE

The Manx Loaghtan sheep breed have been bred on the Isle of Man for over 1000 years.

They are still predominantly found on the Island.

SHEEP

They are a hardy breed,  and have between 4 and 6 horns. They make good mothers and have long nimble legs.

FLEECE

The Manx Loaghtan has a very soft fleece. Lambs have a black fleece which changes to a brown colour after they are 2 weeks old.

They have a fleece that is coveted by hand spinners for its natural colouration.
