HERITAGE

The North Ronaldsay has been found in the Orkneys since the last Century. They have adapted to the harsh weather of the Islands.

They are still found on the Isle of Ronaldsay, as well as in specialist flocks across the UK.

SHEEP

The North Ronaldsay sheep breed are small with a little tail. The rams are horned, but not all ewes have horns.

FLEECE

The North Ronaldsay sheep breed have a coarse fleece, with a mix of soft to harsh handle.

Their fleeces are popular with hand spinners, due to the variance of naturally coloured wool.

A hand-crafted book containing breed-specific information about the British sheep breed you choose.
