HERITAGE

The South Wales Mountain breed have been found in Glamorgan, Gwent and South Powys. Their breed society was established in the 20th Century.

They are now found across South Wales.

SHEEP

The South Wales Mountain sheep breed are a hardy, large sheep. They have tan faces and legs and the rams have spiral horns.

FLEECE

The South Wales Mountain has a thick and coarse fleece. Their fleece has coloured and white kemp running through it.

Their fleece is now predominantly used in carpets.
