HERITAGE

The Welsh Mountain sheep breed was developed centuries ago, on the Welsh Hills. Their breed society was established in the 13th Century. They are still found across the Welsh Hills.

SHEEP

The Welsh Mountain sheep breed is a hardy and versatile sheep. Rams usually have spiral horns.

FLEECE

The Welsh Mountain fleece is white, thick and coarse.

Traditionally it was used in Welsh textiles, however it is now commonly used in carpets.
