HERITAGE

The Zwartbles sheep breed was developed in the Netherlands in the 19th Century.

They are now kept across the UK and are coming increasingly popular with farmers.

SHEEP

The Zwartbles sheep breed is a milking breed. They have a black/brown face with a white streak down their face.

FLEECE

The Zwartbles has a black/ brown fleece, which is soft to medium in handle.

Their fleece is popular with carpet manufacturers, but the finer fleeces can be blended for knitwear yarns.
