HERITAGE

The Dalesbred sheep breed were developed through the crossing of Blackface and Swaledale breeds. Their breed society was established in the 20th Century.

They are now found across the Yorkshire and Lancashire Pennines.

SHEEP

The Dalesbred sheep breed are hardy sheep. They have a black face and spotted legs. They have low spiral horns.

FLEECE

The Dalesbred sheep breed have a coarse, long fleece, and the fleece is now predominantly used in carpets.
