HERITAGE

The Teeswater breed, as we know it today, was developed in County Durham in the 1800's.

They are now found across the North East of England.

SHEEP

The Teeswater sheep breed are a large, hornless breed with a grey face. They have a tuft of wool on top of their head. They are good breeders.

FLEECE

The Teeswater have a heavy, long fleece with a soft handle. The fleece is silky and lustrous.

The fleece is now most commonly used in blends for hand knitting yarns.
